Local law enforcement agencies and radio disk jockey will be serving up spaghetti dinners tonight to benefit the CAPTURE program. The annual cops and jocks dinner will take place from 4 to 7pm this evening on a take-out only basis. Meals can be pre-ordered by calling 984-9715 and can be picked up at Cheff Shells on Superior Mall in Downtown Port Huron. Sargent Doug Decker, from the Port Huron Police Department, says funds from the dinner are used to pay out cash rewards for tips that lead to the apprehension of a suspect. “It (the CAPTURE program) really helps the department with solving crimes, finding people with warrants, recovering stolen property, so it’s really beneficial to all of us.” Decker also says delivery is availible to those who live in the immediate Port Huron, Marysville, and Fort Gratiot Township area.
